A Little Introductory

Hello readers who came here to see the behind the scenes of the author who wrote A Year in the Life of Mother Earth! Hello, my name is Ashley, and I’m so excited to have you here. I also appreciate you for taking the time to actually look through my website and click one of my posts. I decided to write my first post on the day I published the book because I thought it would be a good way to introduce the writer behind the book. So here’s a little insight about me.

Again, my name is Ashley. I was born in Chicago, Illinois. Although I was born and raised there, I never liked Chicago and was eager to get out of there when I graduated high school. It was just never for me. I went to college in Ohio and got a bachelor’s degree in Technical and Professional Communications. When I graduated college, I got married to my college boyfriend, but then got divorced after 6 years of being married. When I decided to leave my marriage, I wanted to have a completely fresh start and truly figure out who I was meant to be.

I packed up all I could in my car and moved to Connecticut where I knew no one. I had no family or friends to help me through this trying time. During my time in Connecticut, I turned to spirituality and started the dizzying healing of the trauma and pain that I endured all my life. I took the time to get to know the real me, the one I hid away from the world for so long. I went to therapy to talk through what I was feeling and also started doing magic to transmute all the negative energy I was feeling and turning it into something positive. I started finding friends who had helped smooth the transition for me and gave me many kind words of advice and support with what I was going through. I found people who stuck that fire of passion inside me and helped me to see love again when for sure, I thought I would never feel it again.

Slowly but surely, I found me again. I found my purpose. Through all my healing, shadow work, failures, lessons, and breakthroughs, I was able to see who I am and who I’m meant to become. That is when I realized that I need to share my story and my ideas to the world rather than keep them bottled up. So now here I am, a woman sharing my story and sharing my ideas to the world. A woman who has reached a new level of happiness and peace with the current life she has. I am so grateful of the journey I took to get here even though there were many challenges along the way. I don’t regret it. I would do it all over again because I am here. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and proud of who I am and am becoming. I’m so proud of me.
